Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I hope your day was as fun and blessed as ours was! We spent the morning opening presents and making breakfast. Then Eric made a wonderful Prime Rib..YUMMY.

Aiden was blessed with so many wonderful gifts. Santa brought him a little rocking horse which he loved :) I think by the end of the day he was over stimulated and exhausted :) Grandma and Grandpa had fun sharing the day with us.

We hope you all had a wonderful day!

Polar Express

On Friday night we took an adventerous drive to Heber City for a ride on the Polar Express. The adventure started out with the Edwards running late and having all the tickets for the Gunderson's and the Fairchild's. On top of running late the roads were yucky! Luckily traffic wasn't bad and the plows were out and about. Eric got us there just in the nick of time! We all had a blast! We ate cookies, drank cocoa, read the polar express book, sang Christmas carols, saw Santa & Mrs. Clause. It was a special time for all of us! I recommend anyone in the SLC area to go. The tickets are a bit expensive but it really put us all in the Christmas spirit. Forced me to forget about all the stuff to do at home and just relax and enjoy the holiday. I've uploaded more pictures in our photo album for everyone to see.
Merry Christmas!!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun....

I can't believe our Aiden turned 6 months old yesterday. Man how the time flies! He's getting so big and learning so many new things. Rolling over, sitting up, drinking from his sippy cup, putting his binky in his mouth, grabbing our hair or ears to suck on our cheeks or nose :) I knew parenthood would be amazing but I honestly had no idea. Watching him with Eric melts my heart. Especially as Eric flies him like an airplane and he drools all over Eric's head :) Also, thanks to Aiden we've met so many wonderful people. I didn't think I could fit anymore love or wonderful people into our lives until I had him. He's truly sent from my angel above. Now if I could just get those teeth to break through we'd be set :)
Happy 6 Months Birthday Aiden!! We love you!!!

For good measure I had to put this one up here...he's not always perfect just 90% of the time :)

Been Awhile...

Hello Friends!
Sorry it's been awhile since I've blogged. Thought I better upload some pics so everyone knows we're still alive and kicking. I had my first night away from the boys this week :( Work took me to Cleveland so Eric and Aiden were on their own. I survived, they survived so everything went well. It was good for me to get away and good for the boys to get some time.
We also had our house warming party this weekend. Thanks to everyone that came. It was nice to see everyone. Dave and Candi bought us a tree for the yard so Eric was busy today planting it. We took some pictures of Aiden in the yard today with the dogs.

I've also been trying to practice with my camera. I went to a photo workshop a few weeks ago with Gwen so bear with my skills :) I posted this one for Gwennie...

Eric and I also got a kick out of lil bit and his bottle holding skills. Like Father like Son :) Well hopefully everyone is doing well.

Michele

Profound...

Like many people I woke up this morning and found myself thinking about our new President and the state of this country. Many of you know that my upbringing had very liberal views from one side and very conservative views from another side. I think I'm blessed because I've felt like it's balanced me out as I've grown into an adult.

Many of you also understand that Eric and I have very different views of the world.  I think the military has clouded his views (hee hee) and he thinks I'm just plain loopy some of the time. However, as I sat there this morning watching the speeches from last night I found myself emotional.

Not because a "democrat" was in office but because something amazing had happened. For the first time in a long time I felt like the nation could be united. Then I thought of Aiden and his friend Colby who happens to African American and I thought how blessed is Aiden to be raised in a country where the color of our skin won't limit us. I also felt proud to be an American and proud to know that I voted for him.

I know that some people reading this won't agree and I have close friends who are very "republican" but I hope that regardless who you selected yesterday that you take pride in knowing the accomplishment that was made.

Pumpkin Carving

We carved pumpkins tonight with Teri & Preston. Our lil human pumpkin wasn't a happy camper but it was cute anyway :)

He did like the feel of the pumpkin on his hands. He kept touching the gooey insides :)

After Aiden went to sleep we had fun carving our own pumpkins :)

Pumpkins

I love Fall! We've had such a fun weekend :)

- Friday night we took Aiden to the pumpkin patch to pick out his first pumpkin. I think (I know) Eric and I enjoyed it far more than he did :) Stay tuned for the carving....

- Aiden received a prize from Gramma Carter on Friday, so this morning Daddy and I put it together. He LOVED it :) Make sure to check out the new videos. They're pretty funny!

- Aiden also had his first Halloween Party today. My mommy group had a party for the kids and it was great! I don't get to see them as much now that I'm back to work so it was fun for Eric and I to catch up with some of the parents. Aiden also met a new friend Colby. Colby is a couple weeks younger than Aiden and his mom is so sweet. I'm sure we'll see more of them! They were the cutest pumpkins!

Snow Angel

Yes Folks, we have snow! Aiden experienced his first snow fall over the weekend and we had the cutest snow angel EVER! :) He loved it! Wasn't quite sure of the fluffy stuff.

Our weekend was full of snow and unpacking. Eric starts his new job tomorrow and I have a overflowing load at work with our layoffs so we were busy getting the house in order and spending time with Aiden. Make sure you check out our new pictures.

He even liked EATING it :)

Let The Fun Begin

Happy Monday!

You know you've had a busy weekend when it feels good to sit at work and feel like you're relaxing! We got all moved and now the fun begins of unpacking. Everything went well with the move and we are enjoying the new house. Even lil Aiden is loving life. We bought him a high chair yesterday and it seems he loves being a big boy :)

Happy Anniversary, Yummy Peas, and Other Fun Things...

Howdy Ho!!

This year is just flying by! I can't believe it's the end of September. So much has happened this week, lets see if I can cram it all in on this blog...

My friend Amber had her baby on Friday night, which also happens to be our Anniversary so it was a blissful day. Lily Marie Marolf is so beautiful! I wish I was there to hold her!

My Mom  also came to town on Thursday night and we all spent the weekend in Park City. She watched Aiden while Eric and I went to dinner to celebrate four years of marriage. We had a wonderful dinner at Ruth Chris Steak House. Very YUMMY! It was nice to spend some quiet time with Eric. It's funny how most of our conversations ended with Aiden but just having a quiet dinner was great.

Saturday we spent the day with Gwen and her kids at Park City Mountain Resort. Eric rode a couple of the rides with Abby and they all had a blast. While Grandma, Aiden, and I enjoyed an iced tea and the sunshine. The weather was great so we walked around Main Street that night. The kids enjoyed it and it was nice to be up there without a big crowd.
We've also been enjoying feeding Aiden something other than formula :) He's had rice cereal which he's not crazy about and peas which he LOVES! I couldn't feed him fast enough tonight. I'll put up a video of his first eating adventure. It's pretty funny!

We also found out that we FINALLY get to close on our house Wednesday morning. So we'll be moving Thursday and Friday. We can't wait! We joked today about how we're living like Gypsy's. It will be nice to unpack and be on the road to our new home.

Well I think that's it for our busy, crazy, fun weekend! Now I'm off to watch DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES!! YIPPEE!!
Love & Hugs,
Michele
